Product Endorsement

Several days ago, my iPod went dead at the gym. Not wanting to pay $65 for someone else’s iPod through the iPod battery program, I elected to swap out the battery myself using a battery from ipodjuice.com.

For about $45, I got a 1200mAh battery (standard iPod battery is 900mAh), tools and instructions.

Took about 15 minutes. The instructions note opening the case would take the most time; I found removing the male battery socket from the motherboard the hardest (big fingers, itsy-bitsy socket). All in all, it was as easy as advertised.

Highly recommended.
