Is There A Bigger Drama Queen Than Neptunus Lex?

Answer: Nope.

The Scott Beauchamp/TNR dustup has really twisted CAPT Leadbottom’s underoos.

Apparently, our diminutive warrior believes that Beauchamp’s diaries sully the character of our entire military–past, present, and future. So much so, the little one clutches his pearls, gazes to the heavens, and bleats (in comments):

[

What Beauchamp has done] is to open up the chest and sh!t in the heart of all the rest of them out there, to besmirch the battle buddies by his side by claiming for himself an unearned world weariness, that “been in the shit” thousand yard stare, a moral degradation that we were expected to believe was general - or else what was the point?

Sweet Jesus, there are tougher four year-old girls than the very delicate Neptunus Lex.

The thing of it is I know Neptunus Lex doesn’t believe his own feigned outrage; most butter bars learn pretty quickly that young sailors, soldiers, airmen, and marines can and will do things that simply defy belief. I’ve seen a seaman second class bring a WWII-era Japanese grenade he found in Guam back to his DDG. I’ve seen a Chief’s lounge that was meticulously built and hidden away on a CVN. The stories I could tell…

But I digress. Neptunus Lex is merely playing for the crowd. He knows better. But he has to pretend the troops are noble ascetics because it plays into hs own self-righteous matyrdom.

More to come.
