Looking for Love Iin all the Wrong Places….
Yet another Republican protector of “Family Values” has been found to not exactly practice what he preaches. Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID) was arrested in June of this year and convicted of lewd conduct:
Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) was arrested in June at a Minnesota airport by a plainclothes police officer investigating lewd conduct complaints in a men’s public restroom, according to an arrest report obtained by Roll Call Monday afternoon.
Craig’s arrest occurred just after noon on June 11 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. On Aug. 8, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct in the Hennepin County District Court. He paid more than $500 in fines and fees, and a 10-day jail sentence was stayed. He also was given one year of probation with the court that began on Aug. 8.
What is it about Republicans and men’s rooms?

That’s what happens when you repress your natural urges and lead a double life—you consign yourself to the shadows.
I don’t think he should have been arrested for what he did—although I believe he intended to engage in public sex, at the point he was arrested, he had done nothing more than publicly “flirt,” which shouldn’t itself be a crime. He did not verbally proposition the officer.
Makes him no less of a hypocrite, of course.

Couldn’t agree more; I’d add Craig made a big mistake not demanding a lawyer–he probably would have skated.
