actually it’s the waiting periods, which apparently don’t work.

MH: That makes no sense. How would a waiting period affect gun suicides at ranges?

Why would drinking?
.
I don’t know why really, the Brady campaign kept japping on about people buying guns to kill themselves on impulse, so waiting periods were instituted in some places.
.
So, these people must’ve turned to using rental guns to pursue their desire to part with life.
.
starting to make sense?

MH: You disagree drinking might lead to suicide? Or that it is a symptom of an underlying mental illness?

Heavy drinking can be considered as self-destructive behavior, it wouldn’t surprise me that there would be a correlation.
Both drug abuse and suicidal tendencies can be symptoms of deeper mental issues, so that’s entirely possible.
.
I was just turning the tables on you after you said that my sentence made no obvious sense (which it didn’t, I was just being inflammatory).
.
Maybe it’s drinking, maybe it’s waiting periods, neither of us have backed up our statements, and I’m not inclined to at this point.
.
Now, causality aside, YOU still have to illustrate that gun ranges are the drunken parties which you make them out to be.
