Your NRA
By now, most everyone has heard or read of the senseless murder of Bill Gwatney, a successful Arkansas businessman and chairman of that state’s Democratic Party.
Turns out Gwatney’s assassin, Timothy Dale Johnson, was a member in good standing of the NRA.
Why isn’t this fact being reported in the press?

Maybe the press isn’t reporting it, because it’s only in your imagination?
Johnson might have been a member of the NRA, but you certainly have not provided any evidence to prove that assertion. Don’t you realize that your link only leads to a gun club page, and none of the information there indicates that NRA membership is a condition of membership in that gun club?

Yeah, and hundreds of Catholic Priests are pedophiles. What’s your point?
Look - bad people do bad things. What group they belong to means nothing. The sooner you understand what “personal responsibility” means, the better.

maybe because it’s irrelevant?

Ummm..Brad? The mission of the Cleburne Shooting Club states: “Members pay annual dues and must be members in good standing of the National Rifle Association.”

Ah, I see it now. I stand corrected.

“Why isn’t this fact being reported in the press?”
Good point. Most every time that anti-gunowner advocates have claimed that some shooter is an NRA member, it’s been a lie. This time it may be the truth? That’s big news!

I see Jay now believes I’m the press.

“I see Jay now believes I’m the press.”
No, just a liar.
Did I say it was the “press”? Let’s see what I wrote:
“Most every time that anti-gunowner advocates have claimed that some shooter is an NRA member, it’s been a lie.”
We see that I wrote that “anti-gunowner advocates” (like the resident blogger) have lied about some shooters being NRA members.
And indeed he has.
