A Pride in Ignorance
McCain’s running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, speaking in Colorado Springs, Colo., said Fannie and Freddie had “gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers.” The companies, however, aren’t taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization.
C’mon. Let’s give Sarah Plain&Scripted a break on this. After all, it’s not like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been in the news lately.
Seriously, this is the same pride in ignorance we’ve seen from George W. Bush.

What about that bet? Still liking your prediction? $100 if Palin is dropped or withdraws from the Republican ticket by Sept. 20? Or you pay me $100 if she’s still on the ticket on Sept. 21?
Only 11 days left to decide!

I really like my forecast. Are you offering odds?

Nope. Like I said, a simple bet.
Nine days remaining!

C’mon, you’ve gotta give me odds! Think about it. A VP candidate has only been replaced once–so, it’s a pretty big precedent. Plus I only have nine days.

OK, the odds are 1:1. It’s a lousy $100.
Game?
Nine days!

Jadegold,
I’ll get in on the action…you should be giving us odds if anything. You are so confident in your projection, right?

Jadegold,
Haven’t heard any announcements about Palin being removed from the ticket, have you?
Comment by Bob S. — September 21, 2008 @ 7:22 pm
Not yet, Bob.
Though I notice her popularity numbers are dropping.

Jadegold,
So your forecast didn’t come true. Who do you think will be off the ticket first, Biden or Palin?
